Rising industry star and former Client Services Director is announced as Ear to the Ground’s new Managing Director 

31-year-old Richard Adelsberg will lead a new management team having secured private investment to buy a significant share in the agency.

Adelsberg’s priority in 2018 will be to develop Ear to the Ground’s pioneering Fan Intelligence department, which has been a key factor in securing a recording breaking 2017 with new client wins including Beats by Dre, Asics, Canterbury, Pringles and npower.
 
Former Client Services Director, Adelsberg is joined by Operations Director, Dolan Hewison and Head of Fan Intelligence, Owen Laverty, who now assume the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Director of Fan Intelligence, respectively.

Stepping back from his day-to-day role within the agency, founder and former CEO Steve Smith will focus his attention on supporting specialist projects. Smith said: “I’ve witnessed the outstanding contribution Richard, Dolan and Owen have made to shaping the agency over the past five years. They have a great combo of youth, dynamism, experience and expertise that will help Ear to the Ground shape the future of fan communication – it’s a very exciting future.”
